Now is the time to start sharing, with each other, what we have heard God saying – the promises God has given to each of us, the prayers we have been doing/saying individually and where God seems to be leading us – individually and as community. Now is the time for the individuals to come together as a small group, because let’s face it during the winter we are a small group(!), and pray/work together – “where two or more are gathered in my name I am there.” A small group, coming together, can make a BIG difference.
Look at the small group (12) that were following Jesus! Depending on which Gospel you read, as Jesus was entering Jerusalem, it was “the Disciples,” “the crowd,” “all the followers,” that put down their “coats,” “branches from the field” and/or “palm branches.” They made enough “noise” praising God for the “miracles they had seen” that the Pharisees told Jesus to make them stop. To which Jesus replies “If they stop the very stones would shout.”
Now is the time! Let us come together to pray, to celebrate and to praise God!
