Two disciples walking along, Christ joins them, explains (opens) Scripture to them and “becomes known to them” in the “breaking of the bread.” This is SO much like our lives! We are “walking along” and Jesus IS with us – even if we don’t always see/know He is there. And we can be reminded of this “in the breaking of the bread” which is also happening, with Communion, this morning.
We’ve been working, all through Lent, on a closer relationship with God by reading the Scripture, and praying, daily. I’ve heard, from many, about how this has improved/strengthened their relationship with God. So what has been happening since Lent is “over”? Are you still reading Scripture, and praying, daily? Are you continuing to strengthen the relationship with God? Where are you seeing Christ “walking with you”?
See!? This “road to Emmaus” is happening right NOW, right HERE with EACH of us!
He IS risen!!
