What is Mobile Ministry?

The Mobile Ministry is a mission of the United Methodist Church which serves two congregations in the most northern part of Minnesota as well as a large, sparsely-populated area where there is no visible church presence. The pastor of Mobile  Ministry serves as pastor of Kabetogama United Methodist Church and Crane Lake Chapel, as well as being a Christian pastoral presence to unchurched persons in the area of 1200 square miles.

Where is Mobile Ministry?

In the northern reaches of Minnesota’s forestland, bordering Canada, is the Land of the Voyageurs. One of the most scenic areas in the United States, this area was named for the Frenchmen who traversed the waterways of the region in their canoes hundreds of years ago. The Land of the Voyageurs is one of the last true wilderness areas left in our country and is the home of the Mobile Ministry. The Mobile Ministry headquarters are located in Orr, Minnesota, a community located 45 miles north of Virginia, Minnesota.

Vision  The vision of Mobile Ministry is “God’s Good News Made Visible In Northern Minnesota.” What motivates us is the desire that God’s good news in Jesus Christ be heard, shared, lived and celebrated.
