We've been talking about facing our "giants" for a few weeks now. Last week I encouraged you to "go and do" what God is calling you to do. That is a change -- even as we listen for, and do, what God is calling us to it is something different. The biggest difference is that we are "facing the giant" which changes our attitude. Think about that for a minute -- how a different attitude can help us to face the giant AND "go and do."
My go to verses when change is happening, wanted or unwanted, are Isaiah 41:10 & 13. Yes, it is my friend Isiah that gives comfort and strength through the change. One of my fellow seminary students "gave" me these verses when my mother died, unexpectedly of a heart attack, and I continue to go to them for strength. They remind me that I am IN God's hand and guided by God's hand.
Emmanuel -- God WITH us. Now we can face the changes. Now we can "go and do." Now we CAN feel God's love, God's strength and God's peace.
Know you are in God's hand, and guided by God's hand, also. Face the changes with God's peace and see if that doesn't make things if not easier at least with a different attitude.
