If you are the one saying "in a minute" the time period seems shorter than if you are the one hearing "in a minute." I once heard it described as do you mean an "in a minute" minute or a 60 second minute? When you are the one hearing "in a minute" it can seem like it takes an hour! When, however, you are telling yourself "in a minute" I'll go do _________ (fill in the blank) the time seems to go faster. It seems like you need to get to, the whatever you put in the blank, right away.
During Lent we have, in these two churches, been looking at strengthening our relationship with God. I've asked, on this blog, how much time you give to God. How are you doing with the "time" spent with God? Are you telling God "in a minute"? Or are you spending "time" with God and telling yourself "in a minute" I'll go do ______? How long DO you spend time with God?
