The seeds of an idea can have several different time frames. Some seeds, of ideas, seem to happen pretty fast and some we wonder if it is even going to work. Some seeds, of ideas, we aren't even sure when they were planted but we are taking the time to use, or do, them.
This morning, at the Chapel in Crane Lake, we are celebrating seeds that were planted some time ago. We are celebrating the seeds that the founders of the Chapel planted and the ministry (fruit) that those seeds are still producing. This will be a time of remembering and celebrating. It will also be a time to look ahead to what seeds we are planting now. A time of reflecting on the "time" we need to take to care for the plants (fruit) from the original seeds and the new seeds (ministries) that are starting.
Time, and seeds, are things to think about as we continue through Lent. A time to reflect on the seeds of our faith, the seeds we are planting and the seed of our relationship with God. What seeds is God planting in your heart to nurture and grow?
